Edith Marie Murray, 78, of Oklahoma City, died December 25, 2011, in OKC, OK following a brief illness. Marie was a loving mother and meticulous homemaker, and enjoyed 60 wonderful years of marriage and ministering with her soul-mate, Rev. James E. Murray, whom she first met while attending first-grade at Vanoss in 1939.
Marie was born in Yeager, OK on June 10, 1933 to Francis Marion (F.M.) and Gertie Wood, both of Ada, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Madonna Glover of Pauls Valley. She is survived by her loving husband, James; daughters, Sharon Ann Wetwiska and husband Larry of Oklahoma City, and Jimmie Marie Cosby and husband Mark of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren; Larry Brent Wetwiska and wife, Summer, Oklahoma City, and Kelly Beth Cosby and Clayton James Cosby, Overland Park, KS; and great grandchildren, Chase William and Cale Clayton Wetwiska, Oklahoma City.

They continued their ministry in Free Will Baptist Churches in Seminole and Henryetta, and then moved to Oklahoma City to accept the pastorate of the Northwest Free Will Baptist Church in 1963, where James served as pastor for twenty years. This was an especially blessed time in Maries life, as they raised their two daughters while ministering to the needs of a growing and vibrant congregation. After a successful twenty-year ministry in Oklahoma City, Marie and James moved to Ada, OK in 1983 where they continued their ministry at Wilson Free Will Baptist Church, returning to the Oklahoma City in 1991.
