Obituary

EDITH (EDIE) KRUTA Edie was born 5/01/27 and died 5/26/10. She was born in Hinton, OK. Her mother, Texas Hemphill Keith, died when she was 3 yrs old. When she was school age Edie moved with her father, William Keith, and four sisters to Geary, OK. She attended school in Geary through her Jr. Year of high school, then moved to OKC with her father and attended Central High School, where she graduated in 1945. She married James Kruta, the father of her two daughters, in 1948. Edie and James also raised two nieces, who were loved like their children. James died in 1982, and after this Edie married his brother, Robert Kruta, in 1983. She worked for Utility Equipment Co for 35 years. She gave her life to Jesus at Trinity Baptist. She later joined Wesley United Methodist Church in OKC and was very active with WUM Womens Group and in many other volunteer capacities. Edie belonged to several book clubs and bridge groups. She was a busy person, staying active most of her life. She was preceded in death by her first and second husband, as well as her sisters Alleta Smith, Cleo Hiersche, and Golda Gagliardi. She is survived by her sister Sue Amstutz, daughters Kathy and Bob Rhodes and Debra and John Cleary, granddaughter Tara and Trenton Hendricks, grandsons Dr. Toby Rhodes and Tony and Kimberly Yanda, great-grandchildren Madison, Molly and Michael James Hendricks and Lola Mae Yanda, and her two nieces, Martha Wilder and Shirley Wolfrom, who will all cherish her memory. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church. Services will be Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church.
