Obituary

Edith Lois Hall was born November 9, 1917 in Paris, TX to Nathan and Annie Lodoskie Moore. She was 4th of 8 children. She graduated from South Western (College) University with Life Teaching Certificates in History, Home Economics, and Elementary Education. She taught school in the western part of the state. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Rev. Marvin H. Hall. Her ministry with her husband was the focus for the remainder of her life. They served churches in Lone Oak, Norman, Shawnee, and Bartlesville. She loved to travel, crochet, read and work extremely large (8,000 to 12,000) piece jigsaw puzzles. She created the "cactus patch" and was known as the "cactus lady" with featured articles in the Tulsa Tribune and Daily Oklahoman. She is survived by 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, June 27, 10:00am at Portland Ave. Baptist Church with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nathan and Annie Lodoskie Moore Memorial Scholarship, Oklahoma Baptist University, c/o The Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma, 3800 N. May, OKC, OK 73112.
