Edgar (Ed) Wilby Hamilton, 104, entered the pearly gates on June 3, 2018. He was born July 28, 1913, in Sulphur, OK, to J.W. and Lou Emma (Jones-Kemp) Hamilton. He married Ruth Belle Farmer on Dec. 25, 1940. They enjoyed 69 wonderful years together before her death in 2010. As a member of Linwood United Methodist Church, he served in many capacities and handed out the bulletin until he was 99. He worked as a finish carpenter until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed woodcarving, family and friends, church and community, as well as travel. He was the shining representative of Christian values. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth; sister, Rachel Austin and husband, Roy; and son-in-law, Clif Schick. He is survived by daughters, Glenita Schick, Karon Grelle and husband Paul, and Sharon Marine; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
