Obituary

Earl Horsley, 94, died September 17, 2009. He was born March 28, 1915 in Wanette, Oklahoma to William J. and Maude (Simpson) Horsley. Earl had 5 brothers and 4 sisters. He attended school in Byars, OK and married his childhood sweetheart, Pauline Griffin, December 11, 1937. He worked as a farmer and was a member of Civilian Conservations Corps from 1937 to 1939. He moved to Ponca City in 1943 and worked for Conoco until retirement in 1977, after which he moved to Mustang, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Pauline; and son Terry, he is survived by his son Ted and wife Susan; daughter Judy Liberton and husband Ray; sister Lavena Hatfield; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Victorian Estates Assisted Living and Frontier Hospice for their loving care. Services will be Tuesday, September 22, 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany with interment at 3:00 p.m., Resthaven Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Ponca City, Oklahoma.
