While he was flying for the Air Force, Dad made many flights home to be with his wife and kids. Tonight he flew home to be with his Father. Earl Wayne Murray, age 91, resident of Oklahoma City, died Friday, October 8, 2010, after a brief illness. Born June 27, 1919 in Oklahoma City, Wayne was a career officer in the United States Air Force. As a pilot, he traveled extensively, living in Japan, Hawaii and various mainland bases. He had a good life, flew to places most of us only dream about, and shared in Church and Kingdom building all over the world. He also showed us what it means to be a man of God. Wayne is survived by his three children, LaNelle Tallent, Ken Murray, and Jan Murray-King, their spouses, five grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, as well as a sister, Ruth Webster, and a sister-in-law, LaVerna Murray. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and S. B. Murray, and by his wife Martha Webster Murray. Memorial gifts may be made to the Twin Lakes Church of the Nazarene, McLoud, Oklahoma. Services will be held at Mercer Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, Oklahoma, at 2pm Monday, October 11th. Visitation will be on Sunday, 6-8 pm.
