Dudley W. Colbert Sr., born November 12, 1948 of Bethany, OK, son of Maureen Colbert-Cude, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday April 11, 2026. He married his high school sweetheart, Sheryle Young, on March 7, 1969, sharing 39 years of marriage.

Dudley loved spending time with his grandchildren and could often be found fishing, golfing, relaxing at the lake, or enjoying the backyard haven that he and Sheryle built together. Dudley was a man of many talents and trades. He was always willing to share his experience and skills in carpentry, drywall, tile, and plumbing with anyone who needed him. Dudley enjoyed traveling, no matter the destination, and just wanted to be where his family was.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maureen; his beloved spouse, Sheryle; and his only son, Dudley "Chip" Colbert.

Dudley is survived by his daughter, Carrie Sommer and her husband, Chad; his daughter, Kayce Davis and her husband, Kris; and his daughter in law, Lizzette Colbert. He leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Gwenivere and Marvin Sommer, Nevin and Ashlynn Davis, and Cora and Sara Colbert. He is also remembered by his five siblings: Charlotte Colbert, Joseph "David" Colbert, Dixie Sargent, Pam Hampton, and Lou Jackson. Dudley will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams (3925 N. Asbury Avenue, Bethany) will be Wednesday, April 15 from 9:00am-8:00pm with family present from 6:00-8:00pm.

Memorial services will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel on Friday April 17, 10:00am, with inurnment immediately following in Bethany Cemetery (6700 NW 63rd Street).
