Duane Allen Hoover, 71, passed away January 28, 2012. He was born April 27, 1940 in OKC. He worked as a Shaklee Director. He enjoyed dancing, especially the West Coast Swing, the Swing Out Swing, and Ballroom dances, and served as President of the Oklahoma City Ballroom Club. He belonged to the Toastmasters Club. He loved nature and sharing it with his grandchildren whom he loved. Through the years, he sponsored many foreign exchange students. One particular student, Eduardo Paiva, remained close friends throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hoover, his wife, Carol Hoover, and grandsons, Christopher and Daniel. He is survived by his mother, Velma Bullock; sons, Damon Frazier and wife Kandis, Chris Hoover and wife Angie; sisters, Peggy Gurski, Cathy Womack, Jane Schlubach and Marcia Carter; brother, Mike Hoover; and 6 grandchildren, DeVante, Leiana, Daniel, Brandon, Marissa and Jasmine. He is also survived by many close friends, among them Charles Liles, Albert Avdoshin, and Sharon Hoover. His enthusiasm and positive outlook will be missed. Memorial service will be Saturday, February 11, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
