Obituary

Our precious Dr. Tony stepped into heaven August 31, 2009, just as the sun was rising. He was born Martin Anthony Woodall, April 16, 1935 in Lebanon, Tennessee, on his parents anniversary. Tony graduated High School in Lebanon, Tennessee. He attended Martin Jr. College and Peabody College. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis, graduating medical school in 1960. Tony served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1981, retiring as a Captain. While there, he completed his pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After retiring, he moved to Oklahoma City and began his civilian pediatric practice at the Central Oklahoma Medical Group and Integris Pro Health Physicians Group, from which he retired in 2007. Dr. Tony was a very caring and loving Pediatrician whose greatest concern in life were his little patients. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Martin Woodall and John William Woodall; and beloved grandmother Moncie Mammy Martin. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Elizabeth Beth Clark Woodall; daughter, Amy Zaniewski and husband Andy of New Port Richey, Florida; son, Tony Woodall, Jr. and wife Julie of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren Michelle Estes, Michael Bahr, Blake and Bryce Woodall; and great-grandson Tripp Estes. Also missing him will be his step-son Christopher Clark of Tampa, Florida; step-daughter Jennifer Eid of Orlando, Florida; step-grandchildren Steven, Sophia and James Eid of Plano, Texas; his siblings John Lee Woodall and wife Faye, Lebanon, Tennessee, Norma Fosson of Salem, Oregon, and Sabra Todd and husband Bobby of Lebanon, Tennessee; Aunt Claudia Burton, Old Hickory, Tennessee; very special friend, Danny Evins and wife Marguerite, Franklin, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his Labrador, Mamie Pearl and his 3 "kitty boys" Mister Kitty, YoYo and Lucky. Special thanks to Dr. Bradley Carter, his office nurse Jenny Layne and staff, Med Plaza Dialysis, and the staff on 501 ICU, 601 ICU and 10 East at Integris Baptist Medical Center, and Grace Living Center, Bethany, for their loving care. The family will receive visitors Thursday, September 3, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Friday, September 4, 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Yukon, Oklahoma with interment in Yukon Cemetery.
