Obituary

Dr. Timothy K. Campbell, age 55, of Bethany, OK, born to Barbara L. and Ezra O. Campbell, went to be with his Savior, March 19, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital, OKC. Tim was a former Putnam City classroom teacher for 9 years, then left to earn his Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction from OSU. Since that time, he has taught at Southern Nazarene University and the University of Central Oklahoma as Professor of Elementary Education, and currently at Southwestern Christian University where he was the new Department Head of Education. It was at SCU that he found a new love for teaching college freshman. Tim attended Bethany First Church of the Nazarene where he counted it a privilege to be the adult Sunday School teacher for the past 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Madelyn (Tims) Campbell; sons, Aaron, Stuart and his wife Karen; daughter, Sara; mother, Barbara; brother, Steven V. Campbell and his wife Nancy; sister-in-law, Anne Campbell; mother-in-law, Edna Tims, sister-in-law, Marilyn Olson and husband Jim; brother-in-law, Montie Tims and wife Eileen; two uncles, Jim Bellah and wife Linda, Norman Samples and wife Mary; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra O. Campbell and father-in-law, Holman Tims. Visitation will be available Saturday, March 24th and the family will greet friends Sunday, March 25th from 2-4pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany. A private burial will be in Bethany Cemetery and an 11:30am memorial service at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, Monday, March 26, 2012. Memorials may be made to Southwestern Christian University, 7210 N.W. 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK.
