C. Paul Gray went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 21, 2012. Paul was born October 15, 1914 in Vilonia, Arkansas. He was very active and "grew up" with the Church of the Nazarene as an evangelist, pastor, professor and archivist. Dr. Gray, as he was known to his students, was a great man of faith and holiness who loved people. He was grateful for his many friends, acquaintances and students over the years and across the country. Paul was the last of his family generation to leave this earth and is no doubt rejoicing in his home going to them. Paul is survived by wife, Lavonne of Bethany, Oklahoma; son, Don (wife Denise) of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter, Carole Liles (husband Jeff) of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jason Gray (Janiece) of Edina, Minnesota, Jonathan Gray of Orlando, Florida, Jennifer Liles and Brady Liles of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; and three great-grandchildren, Emma, Alyson and Avery Gray of Edina, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to the C. Paul Gray Religion Scholarship Fund at Southern Nazarene University. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with the family present from 2-4pm at Mercer-Adams. Services honoring Paul will be held at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
