Doyle Bilyeu, 93, of Bethany went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6th surrounded by his family. He was born January 12, 1923 in Mulhall, OK to Robert Oscar and Myrtle (Fitzpatrick) Bilyeu. He was the fifth born of seven children. Doyle graduated from Stillwater High School and attended Bethany Peniel College (SNU). He entered the Navy December 25, 1942 and served his country in WWII in the South Pacific. He married Edith Mae Fisher in Wichita, Kansas on April 14, 1946. They were married almost 70 years. Doyle worked as a Flight Service Specialist for the FAA for over 30 years. He was a charter member of Western Oaks Church of the Nazarene where he served faithfully in many capacities. Doyle was always young at heart, active and available to help his family, friends and church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Mae Bilyeu, on January 16, 2016, as well as his parents, two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Gayla Ryan and husband, Larry of Yukon, OK; son, Rev. Robert Doyle Bilyeu and wife, Elois of Texarkana, TX; daughter, Anita Johnson and husband, Brent of Bethany, OK; seven grandchildren: Kayleen (Mark) Browning, Brent (Bevan) Ryan, Amy Currin, Robert (Jennifer) Bilyeu, Eric (Jessica) Bilyeu, David Mullins, John Michael (Melissa) Mullins; thirteen great-grandchildren: Andrew Browning, Morganne Browning, Madison Browning, Ephrem Ryan, Georgia Ryan, Tenley Ryan, Kaitlyn Currin, Kathryn Bilyeu, Robert Bilyeu III, Cavan Bilyeu, Elicia Bilyeu, Abby Mullins and Ella Mullins. Services will be held Wednesday, August 10th at 10:30 am in the Mercer Adams Funeral Chapel in Bethany. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9am to 9pm with family present from 6pm to 8pm.
