Dowana Laraine Harrison, 86, passed peacefully November 6, 2021 in Edmond, OK. She was born August 27, 1935 in Calumet, OK to Howell and Buenos (Ayers) Thrash. Dowana was an entrepreneur and former owner of the Dowanas Gift Store on N.W. 39th St. An interior decorator, she worked at Hoffmans Furniture specializing in home dcor. She was a longtime member of Council Road Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Dowana was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Wayne Smoot and Fred Harrison; grandson, Spencer Dowdell; and two brothers, Butch and Ralph Thrash. Survivors include her daughter, Angela Coldiron and husband Mark; sons, Steve Street and wife Julie, and Stan Street; grandsons, Dr. Steven Sanchez and wife Paula, and Nathan Street; granddaughters, Shauna Street, Chelsea Crew, and Lindsey Martin; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Mitchell of Wichita Falls, TX; and brother, Gary Thrush of Bethany. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Wednesday, November 10, 2:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with graveside services Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. .
