Doug Fallis was born July 26, 1961 to John Fredrick (Fred) and JoAnn (Witka) Fallis in Houston, Texas. He passed away May 30, 2015 at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Doug attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he graduated with honors earning his undergraduate and Master's Degree in music. Doug proudly served as the band director of Kerr Middle School in the Mid-Del School District where he shared his passion for music with his students. On January 2, 1993, Doug married the love of his life, Monna Nutt. He was a loving man who doted on his wife with breakfast in bed and watching their favorite cooking show together every weekend. He also insisted everyone spend each special occasion together as a family. Doug was an accomplished musician and a talented drummer. He played with a variety of musicians in the Oklahoma City area as well as the Mid Del Jazz Orchestra. He was a wonderful man, had a gentle soul and never complained. He enjoyed trips to Lake Texoma, entertaining family and friends and loved to cookout on the grill. His favorite saying was "I love you, no matter what", and you knew he meant it. He spoiled and adored his faithful dog, Tucker. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Fred. He is survived by his wife, Monna; mother, JoAnn of Salt Lake City and sister Toni of Salt Lake City; son, Taylor; step-daughters, Jennifer Byler, Misty Harrison, and Tina Williams, as well as 9 sweet grandchildren and 2 wonderful nephews.
