Douglas John Burnett, 55, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 30, 2010. Doug is survived by three brothers, Daniel of Canon City, CO and his wife, Karen, David of Rockwall, TX and his wife, Cathy, and Donald of Oklahoma City, OK and his wife, Kyna; nephews Derek, Darin and Owen; and niece Lindsay. Douglas was a retired OKC police officer and OKC police helicopter pilot. He was one of the first responders, in the air, to the Murrah Building bombing providing critical on scene command. He was also an airline pilot for Continental Express. He was an avid snow skier, sports car buff and traveler. He lived in Japan, Costa Rica and Argentina as well as the U. S. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with the family present from 4-6pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, August 7, 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
