Dorothy J. Stein, 89, died February 21, 2016 in Oklahoma City. She was born November 9, 1926 in Oklahoma City to Henry Andrew and Lucy (Powell) Snell. She married Robert G. Donell in 1948 in Oklahoma City. She later married Clarence Stein in 1972 in Bethany, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by both husbands, a sister, Virginia Andrews, and a brother, Robert Henry Snell. Survivors include daughter, Kathryn Coats and husband Topper of Bethany; step-son, Jerry Stein and wife Billye of Ponca City; step-daughters, Joanne Kerran of Edmond, Jeannie Black and husband Larry of Edmond, Janet Kay Smith and husband David of Waco, TX, and June Woodard and husband Alan of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, and SW Bell Pioneers. She retired from SW Bell, and went to work for her longtime dentist until he retired, and then went to work as activities director in a Bethany Nursing Home where her mother resided. She enjoyed sewing, drawing and creating greeting cards. Viewing will be Thursday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 26 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
