Dorothy Madison, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven on Friday, October 7, 2016 in Bowie, TX. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Yukon Cemetery, 660 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon, OK. Dot was born February 10, 1925, in Nauvoo, Walker County, AL, to Gus and Ethel Lee. Dot married Carl Madison on August 26, 1942. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2012. Dot was a homemaker and she loved her family dearly. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was a woman of strong Christian faith, loving God, loving people, and loving her church. Dot and Carl were longtime members of the Church of the Nazarene both in Alabama and in Oklahoma. Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, her parents, one sister, Geraldine Falls, and two brothers, Garvin Lee and Clarence Lee. Survivors: son, Stan Madison and wife Barrie of Sunset, TX; daughter, Teresa Adams and husband Ken of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Shazon McKinney and husband John of Prairie Village, KS, Daphne Gafford and husband Mark of Prairie Village, KS, Charissa Madison of Grand Prairie, TX, Brandon Madison of Grand Prairie, TX; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Advanced Rehab of Bowie, TX and Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX for their wonderful care of Dot during her courageous battle with Alzheimers.
