Dorothy Louise Griffiths-Bussing, 94, died July 9, 2014 in OKC. She was born November 16, 1919 in Momence, IL to Frank and Florence (Johndrow) Lappie. She graduated from Lowell High School, Lowell, IN, in 1937. She retired as a banking loan officer. She moved to Oklahoma in 1981. She was actively involved with girl scouts and volunteered at Deaconess Hospital for many years. She was married to Robert E. Griffiths for 52 years before his death August 10, 1991. She then married W. Keith Bussing in 1995 and he died May 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 3 sisters and two brothers. Survivors include 4 daughters, Nina Crawley and husband Ron of San Antonio, TX, Becky Baldwin-Beeson and husband Jim of Jacksonville, FL, Nancy Webb of Sun City, AZ, and Alma Pearson and husband Lindy of OKC; 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be Sunday, July 20, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
