Doris Welle, 80, of Oklahoma City, passed away Thursday evening, January 20, 2011. Born February 4, 1930 in Newark, NJ, Doris was married to Edward Welle who preceded her in death in January of 1988. Doris was best known as the friendly face at the Bethany YMCA where she worked for the last fifteen years. The staff and members were her adopted family to whom she always had a kind word or piece of candy to brighten up someones day. Doris is survived by her three children, Debbie (Gary) Miller, Daniel (Jonie) Welle, and David (Michele) Welle, four grandchildren, Joey, Robbie, Christopher and Chelsea Welle, and great granddaughter Reese Welle. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, OK. Burial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery immediately following.
