Doris Jane Simpson, 86, died February 23, 2017. She was born October 11, 1930 in Enid, OK to Dee and Minnie (Jones) Chambers. She was an active member for over 40 years at Council Road Baptist Church and a member of "Jackies Jewels" Sunday school class. She enjoyed traveling to the coast and loved the ocean and lighthouses. She belonged to Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Alpha Swearingen and Helen Young. Survivors include her sons, Dean Simpson and wife Norma, Neal Simpson; 8 grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Cooper, Candi, Peter, Shawn, Christopher and Taylor; 2 great-grandchildren, Abbigil and Taiten; and brother, Jesse Chambers. Special thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice: Mona, Carolyn, Geri and Cheri. Viewing will be Monday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 7-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Tuesday, February 28, 10:00am at Council Road Baptist Church Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
