Dorene Ruth Schott Wyett, 93, born in Minneola, Kansas March 29, 1921 to Samuel and Ida Schott, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 10, 2014. She enjoyed a long and happy life. While assisting her husband in pastoral ministry in the Church of the Nazarene for 34 years, Dorene earned her Master's Degree in special education and taught in Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma until she retired. She filled her retirement years as a Master Gardner, certified through OSU extension, traveling and loving her grandchildren. Dorene was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robin Regester. Survivors include her husband of almost 70 years, Lloyd Wyett; daughter, Sharon Regester of Bethany; son, David and wife Marilyn of CA; son, Alan and wife Barbara of Yukon; daughter, Janice Key and husband Charles of OKC; 4 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, and 15 great-grandchildren. Dorene was an avid prayer warrior and a wonderful role model of the Christian faith. Her family was always encouraged knowing she prayed for each family member twice each day. There will be many souls in heaven as a result of her dedicated ministry and prayers. Viewing will be Monday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams.
