Our beloved mother, and grandmother, Donna Lee Shofner, was welcomed to her heavenly home on August 22, 2025 at the age of 97.

She graduated from Oklahoma City Central High School in 1945. After graduation, Donna attended beauty college and then opened her own shop, The Ritz Beauty Salon, where she worked until her marriage in 1948.

As a charter member of Council Road Baptist Church, she was a woman of faith who served God and others well into her eighties. She taught first grade Sunday School for fifty years, and Vacation Bible School. She cooked hundreds of thousands of meals for Falls Creek, Wednesday night dinners, family meals for funerals, and Families Loving Families at Thanksgiving.

Donna cherished her large circle of friends from high school days to her Dinner Club group of forty years to her church ladies. She loved entertaining with elaborately set tables and delicious food. Her beautifully decorated home was the holiday celebration hub for her own family as well as her brothers and their families. They all expected the best roast beef and gravy ever!

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Pary "Pete"; her daughter, Pamela Sue and husband Don Ransford; and grandsons, Matthew, Preston and Nigel Shofner.

She is survived by her sons, Pary and wife Kathy Shofner, and Mike and wife Janie Shofner; grandson, Jeremy Ransford; granddaughter, Kristy and husband Jason Logan; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Scott Logan.

A celebration of life will be held in the chapel of Council Road Baptist Church on August 29, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the children's ministry at Council Road Baptist Church.
