Donald Guy Heimbach passed away Thursday, August, 18, 2011 at the age of 68. Don was born in Enid, Oklahoma, June 15, 1943 to George Heimbach and Lois Louise Whitaker. He graduated from Central High School in 1961 and from Oklahoma City University in 1968 with a BS in Business and a major in Accounting. He worked as an accountant at University Hospital, CMI, Sequoyah Industries, Mid-West Carpet Distributors, Telex, Four Seasons Nursing Center and Western Electric. He served as Business Manager / Treasurer for Putnam City School District for 18 years. He was employed with the State of Oklahoma for ten years and retired in 2005 from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Comptroller Division. Don enjoyed bowling, water and snow skiing, traveling, OSU baseball and girls softball (particularly the U.S.A. Team). He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Bobbie; sons, David and wife Susan, Stephen and wife Tracie, Michael and wife Tina; daughters, Shawn Barnes and husband Chris, and Tosha Loeffler; sisters, Lois Thrower and husband Jack of OKC, and Connie of NY; and brother, Dennis of TX. Don had 14 grandchildren: Christopher, Justin, Dylan, Madisyn, Ragan, Ryle, Myka, Tayler, Michael Joseph, Makayla Dawn, Maria, Sylvia, Bret and Ryan, and 5 great-grandchildren. Don also leaves behind many wonderful and treasured friends and a group of secretaries that always held a special place in his heart. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday, August 22, 10:00am with a memorial service celebrating Dons life following at 1:30pm at Central Presbyterian Church.
