Donald Irvin Brown, 74, went to be with Jesus Christ on March 18, 2010. He was born in Oklahoma City on October 27, 1935 to Roy and Verl Brown. Don was a successful builder and developer in the metro area since the 1950s. Dons devotion to Jesus Christ and His Word was more than a commitment. Jesus Christ was his lifeblood and he was devoted to following His Word. To everyone he met, Don served as a wise, caring, teacher and witness for the Lord. Next to God, Don loved his family. His family loved, cherished and respected him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donetta Brown, his children Gary Brown, Greg Brown, Jan Smith and Bradd Brown, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and his brother, Royce Brown, all of the Oklahoma City area. Funeral services will be at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 23, with burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, March 22, from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm at Mercer-Adams, Bethany, OK.
