Don Gene Montgomery 80, loving husband, dad and pepa, went to his eternal home on January 3, 2022 at Yukon Integris surrounded by family. Don was born January 22, 1941 in Raiford, Oklahoma to Johnny and Lula Montgomery. He graduated from Bethany High School in 1959, where he went on to work at Gulfstream Aerospace for 43 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bethany for over 70 years. Don was happily married to the love of his life and best friend, Helen Montgomery, for 60.5 years. Don is survived by his wife, Helen; 2 daughters, Sherri Jurey and husband Doug, and Melissa Parker; a sister, Geraldine Thompson and husband Dale; 6 grandkids, Darylin Lewis and husband Josh, Laci Carr and husband Chris, Denim Allen and husband Steven, Jaime Parker, Aikman Jurey, and Caleigh Parker; and 7 great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Lula Montgomery; sisters, Leola Smith and Nita Joyner; and a son-in-law, Darrell Parker. Besides spending time with his pride and joy ~ Millie (his dog), he enjoyed going to coffee with his friends, watching his grandkids play ball, fishing, hunting, and vacationing to many places with his wife and friends. Visitation for friends and family will be held Wednesday at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, Oklahoma from 9am-8pm with family present from 5pm-7pm. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Bethany at 2pm on Thursday, January 6th with Mike Fortenberry officiating. Graveside service will follow directly after at Bethany Cemetery. .
