Don F. Copeland, Jr., 86, passed away on May 27, 2011. He was born on December 16, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Don and Roberta (Edwards) Copeland. Don was a veteran of the Korean War and World War II, having served in the Navy. Before retirement, he worked as a controller at Oklahoma Hardware; he retired from Gaylord Broadcasting where he worked as a business manager and accountant. Don enjoyed taking his family and friends to the lake for fishing, boating and skiing. He always ensured everyone had a wonderful time. Don was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry Don, and brother, Paul Copeland. Don is survived by his wife, Virginia; two sons, Scott Copeland and wife Christy of Edmond, Oklahoma, Gary Copeland of Warr Acres, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alicia Rains, Amy Copeland, Marissa Copeland and Bryce Furbee; and great-grandchildren, Drew and Gabriel Rains.
