Dolores Jean Moraski, 75, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 after a brief illness in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born in Cumberland, Maryland on June 4, 1939, she moved to Dallas, Texas and resided there most of her life. She was the middle child of five children born to Joseph Richard and Hazel Elizabeth Mantheiy. Dolores graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas and immediately began a job with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company where she remained until her retirement, having provided more than 50 years of loyal service as an administrative assistant, planning major company events and training countless company employees. She met and married her lifelong sweetheart, Jerry Moraski on October 24, 1959. They were blessed with 56 happy years in marriage and those who knew Dolores knew Jerry, as they rarely spent any time apart. They loved to travel with one another and enjoyed many cruises during their years together. Their only child, Michelle Yvonne, preceded her in death in 1977. Dolores spent many hours sewing for Michelle, making her beautiful dresses and other outfits for her competition pageants. She had a knack with words, enjoying crossword puzzles and beating most every opponent at the game of Scrabble. A true artist, Dolores loved working with craft activities; she was an amazing cook and hosted many family dinners. She had the gift of hospitality and was a gracious hostess, sharing love and kindness to many. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Dolores was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Joe Mantheiy and is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; brother, Charles Mantheiy and wife, Betsy of Magnolia, TX; sister, Joan Mantheiy of Dallas, TX; sister, Mary Eskridge and husband, Rod of Oklahoma City, OK; sister-in-law, Peggy Mantheiy of Eufaula, OK; and many nephews, nieces, and great nephews and great nieces. Funeral services and interment are scheduled at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
