Dolores Alice Dyer was born April 22, 1917 in a farm house in Logan, Oklahoma, and departed this life to be with her Lord on March 7, 2010, in Oklahoma City. Living in a small town during the depression, Delores made her own dolls out of fence post. She attended grade school in a one-room school house and graduated from high school in Laverne, Oklahoma. She then went on to attend business school for a short time in Dodge City, Kansas. When WWII started, Delores lived in California but returned to Beaver County to be with her parents as her dad was dying. She came to Oklahoma City and worked as a file clerk at Kerrs Department Store then she went to work at Southwestern Bell. After marrying Archie L. Dyer in 1972, she retired in from SWB Telephone two years later. Delores, the daughter of John and Lula (Schafer) Baumgartener, was predeceased in death by her husband, Archie L. Dyer, and her parents. She is survived by her children, Diana and Mike Richardson, Archie and Fran Dyer; her siblings Roy and Eula Mae Baumgartener; grandchildren Lance and Jorie Newsom, Curt Dyer, Laura Newsom, Lisa and Dave Brozenic, Leslie Dyer, Lerin and Kevin Madden, Linze and Adam Chapman; nieces Rhonda and Martin Malahy, Debra Baumgartner; 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great nephews. Services will be held at Mercer Adams Chapel on Tuesday, March 9 at 2:00 PM.
