Diana Lynn
Seaton
Jul 14, 1948 — Jan 13, 2024
Diana Lynn (Jones) Seaton, aged 75, passed away on the morning of January 13, 2024 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Marie Jones. She is survived by her husband, Stan Seaton; three children, Scott [Elizabeth] Seaton, Stacia [Jared] Sams, Shane [Hannah] Seaton, grandchildren, Felicity and Hailey, Avery and Adalyn, and Calum and Wilder; as well as her sister, Donna (Jones) Cox.
Diana was born July 14, 1948, in Spencer, West Virginia. Growing up, she was involved in Girl Scouts and participating in the National Girl Scout roundup in 1965 was a highlight that she loved to talk about. She was also musically inclined, playing the E flat clarinet and even had the honor of being chosen to participate in The West Virginia All-State Band. From an early age she had a creative spirit, exhibited through the time she spent crafting as a child and continuing through her teen years, as she designed and sewed her own clothes. She loved to reminisce on her time spent as a Spencer High School Yellowjacket where she was a proud majorette for the high school band. After graduation, she went on to attend Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA where she met her sweetheart; ultimately following Stan back to (then) Bethany Nazarene College, where she earned her BA in Medical Technology. Diana worked as a Medical Technologist at Deaconess Hospital from 1970-1977. Following her stint at the hospital, and after the birth of her first child, she went back to her creative roots and began hanging wallpaper in homes both near and far. She worked alongside her husband at Stan's Plumbing, Inc for many years. She was an active participant in the community, spending 10 years holding many leadership roles in the 4Cers Sunday School Class, as well as being heavily involved in the Putnam City Schools PTA (where she learned to make one amazing apple pie!).
Diana had a generous heart and showcased her love for others through being a wonderful hostess. She cherished the time she had with her community of friends, many who became like family over the years. She loved spending time with her grandkids and always made time to be present for the big moments in their lives.
Most importantly, Diana was a faithful follower of Christ throughout her life. Her legacy of faith will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends.
