Derrick Duane Taylor, age 40, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2025. He was born to Shanda Stacy and Terrance Taylor in Oklahoma City on May 14, 1985. Derrick graduated from Putnam City North High School. He enjoyed his career in the oil field and loved playing pool and riding motorcycles. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family.

Derrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfreda Sams and Carol E. Hartley, Marilyn Taylor and Jim Taylor, and Carol Stacy and Joe Stacy.

He is survived by his mother, Shanda Stacy; father, Larry Stacy; children, Karleigh Taylor, Aidan Taylor and Kynleigh Sanders; sisters, Lauren Stacy and Chelsey Taylor; brothers, Chris Stacy and Terrance Taylor; and other beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Visitation with family present is Tuesday, May 27, 5:00-8:00pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel on Wednesday, May 28 at 4:00pm.
