Dennis Leroy Alexander, age 91, passed from this life on September 4, 2016. He was born January 1, 1925, in Telephone, Texas, to the late Isom Floyd and Jessie Estella Alexander. Dennis is survived by his youngest brother, Bobby Gene Alexander; his wife, Jeanette Marie Alexander; his daughter, Sherrie Lee Russell; grandchildren, Terry Miller and his wife Ladeana, Jenny Martin and her husband James K., Amber Jarvis and her husband Jeff; great-grandchildren, Brandon Miller and wife Sydney, Nicole Jarvis, Bryton Cunningham, Parker Jarvis, Samuel Miller; and great-great-granddaughter, Eleanor Sparks. Dennis served as a submariner during WWII on several subs including the USS Billfish. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base and from General Motors. He met his bride at a dance. After a two week courtship, they were married and he shipped out the following week. They were happily married for 72 years.
