Dena Lane Duncan went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 19th, 2023. Dena was born March 2nd, 1954, in Oklahoma City to Bill and Julie Montgomery. She was a shining light to everyone around her, no matter where she went. Dena attended both Northwest Classen and John Marshall high schools and graduated from Oklahoma State University. As a child, she loved going to Falls Creek church camp, where she later returned as an adult to cook for the Village Baptist Church youth. This is just one of the many examples of her servants heart. Dena was an avid gardener, crafter, seamstress/quilter, and college football fanatic. A passionate singer, she was also devoted to singing in her church choir and cherished her 13 years as a member of the Singing Church Women. Dena was such a joy to be around -- always smiling or giggling. Her love for Christ was shown through her constant nurturing and care she provided to those around her. Dena, known as "Dede," loved being a grandmother to her buddy, Charlie. She made the selfless decision to be an organ donor and through this decision, she brought immediate joy and celebration to families and countless others with her gift and testimony of Christ through all that she did.
