Delores Ellen Patty was born June 11, 1933 in Dublin, Texas and entered the kingdom of heaven on December 2, 2021. Delores was the 3rd of five children born to Frank and Alyene Runkles. Delores married Billy Lee Patty on November 27, 1952. Following Billy graduating from college they moved to Wilson, North Carolina for his job. In 1960, they adopted their son, Roger and in 1962 a second son, Greg was born to them. At this time, Delores wanted to either purchase a home and put down roots in North Carolina or return home to Texas. Shortly thereafter, the family returned to Texas and lived in a number of cities prior to Billys job taking them to Oklahoma City. Delores was a full-time mom until the early 1970s when she studied to work in the medical field. She eventually worked for several physicians offices doing lab work, assisting with medical procedures, and working the front office. Billy and Delores retired in 1992 and moved to Yukon, enjoying several years of travel and time with grandkids and great-grandkids. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Ramona and Wanda, and brothers, Don and Wayne. She is survived by her sons, Roger of Yukon, and Greg and his wife Patty of Yukon; sisters-in-law, Mary Runkles and Linda Runkles; grandchildren, Justin, Michael and Christy; great-grandchildren, Jakob, Haley, Hanna and Gwennie; great-great-grandson, Kingston; and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Wednesday, December 8, 1:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Terrace Cemetery, Post, Texas. . There are no gallery images.
