Delores W. Haley, age 91, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on October 21, 2023. She was born on March 1, 1932, to Vertie and Daley Whittington in Elk City, South Carolina. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force, where she was a dental technician. In 1988, Delores married lifelong friend, Darwin Haley.

After leaving the Air Force, and settling down in Midwest City, OK, Delores continued her love of working in the dental field. Shortly after her marriage to Darwin, Delores retired. Both Delores and Darwin enjoyed traveling. They traveled the United States, exploring and learning about the country they both loved.

Delores had many hobbies and was very devoted to her family. She often knitted hats, handing them out to the unfortunate, and frequently made small hats for newborns at the local hospitals.

Delores was predeceased by her father, Daley Whittington; mother, Vertie Whittington; husband, Darwin Haley; sister, Marie Elliott; and sister, Ruth Orr. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Lassen, Kim Khalaj, and Pamela Wormuth. She was also blessed with grandsons, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Thursday from 9am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 27 at The Fellowship at Western Oaks with interment to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
