Delmar Dan Buckner grew up on the farm in Savanna, Oklahoma. After high school, Delmar went to Kansas and worked on the farm with his brother, Layton. After that, Delmar moved to Oklahoma City to work construction with his brother, Max. After going to radio and TV repair school, Delmar started his own repair business where he worked for 49 years before retiring.

Some of Delmar's interests were gardening, grafting trees, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He loved God and his church, Tulakes Baptist Church.

Delmar is survived by his loving wife of 65 ½ years, Frances Janice Buckner; three children, Cindy and Brad George, Danny and Julie Buckner, and Kristina and Jeremy Proctor; six grandchildren, Derek Buckner, Megan George, Aaron Buckner, Mikayla George, Braxton Proctor and Bryson Proctor; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Adolph Buckner and Elsia Oriella Buckner; and 11 siblings, Herbert Marion, Delbert Marlin, Charles Noble, Margaret Elizabeth, Thomas Adolph, Auburn Wayne, Laura Ann, Claude Max, Thelma Jean, Reedis Dean, and Van Layton.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Wednesday, 9am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 15, 11:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery.
