Della Louise (Box) Montgomery, 94, of Oklahoma City, passed away October 29, 2016. She was born August 21, 1922 to Roscoe and Leahla (Packhurst) Box in Shawnee, OK where she spend the majority of her childhood before relocating to Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and five brothers, as well as her husband of 71 years, Lester O. Montgomery, whom she married in Oklahoma City on December 8, 1939. Della is lovingly remembered by her children, Lester Ray Montgomery of Tahlequah, OK, Donald G. Montgomery of Oklahoma City and Carolyn K. Montgomery of Edmond, OK. Della was extremely proud of her 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Brittanie Montgomery and Hailey C. Cude. Viewing will be Tuesday, Nov. 1st from 9am to 9pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm at Mercer-Adams. The Celebration of Dellas life will held at 10am on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 7301 S. Walker, where she and her husband faithfully served and worshipped since its founding in 1935. There will be a luncheon for family and friends following the Celebration.
