Dean
Allen
Jan 24, 1950 — Jun 14, 2026
Ira Dean Allen, 76, passed away on June 14, 2026 in Yukon, OK. He was born January 24, 1950 to Russell and Elvera (Koehn) Allen in Ponca City, OK. Dean was married to his first wife, Patty Allen, on July 30, 1974. They were married for 31 years before she lost her battle with cancer. They resided most of their years together in Ponca City, OK. Dean married Karen Allen on June 3, 2006. They have resided in the Oklahoma City area for the past 20 years.
Dean was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a Drill Sergeant. He and his family owned A & A Paint and Interior Design in Ponca City. He started working in the business at the age of 10 and continued until he retired.
Dean enjoyed trips to Disney World, working in the yard (especially planting trees), golf, working jigsaw puzzles, volunteering at therapeutic riding centers, woodworking and raising horses. In retirement, he served as a judge for the Canadian County precinct voting poll. He was passionate about service. He viewed service as an act of dedication to God, no matter what or who it was provided to.
When Dean married Patty, he was given the privilege to play an important role in the life of her six children. Dean loved every single one of them as if they were his biological children. God blessed him with 21 grandchildren plus spouses and 42 great-grandchildren.
Dean was a "good man" who loved God. He was kind, trustworthy, hardworking, loyal and dedicated. He loved his country and her flag. To have passed away on Flag Day was just an extra special moment. He wanted all to know that his faith in Jesus Christ was what carried him through the good times and the bad.
Dean and Karen loved family times, dogs, home improvement projects, friends and church worship services. Their travels to Ireland and Colorado were highlights for him.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife of 31 years, Patty; granddaughter, Ryanne Hauschild; brother, Benjamin Jake Allen, who died at 2 years of age; sister, Elva Jean, who died at 3 days old; and brother-in-law, Stanley Raczynski.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Allen; sons, Bobby Snow (Vena) and Danny Snow (Toni); daughters, Debe Hauschild (Rick), Sandy Ray, Nancy Gilliam (Dan) and Laurie Coniglione (Rob); brother, Ron Allen; sister, Cheryl Long (Keith); sisters-in-law, Nancy Goodman (Bill) and Diane Gassett (Bryant); and brother-in-law, Ron Raczynski (Sheila). Dean is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren, along with treasured nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed but we know he is at home with God and celebrating his new journey for eternity.
