David Edwin
White
Feb 22, 1950 — Jun 3, 2024
David Edwin White was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 22, 1950 to Robert Edwin White and Martha Mae White. David graduated in 1969 from Northwest Classen High School and joining the Marine Corps right after graduation in 1969, serving in the reserves until 1975…Semper Fi! He was also a proud tribal member of the Choctaw Nation.
David would then meet his wife Ginger on a blind date in late 1978, which lead them to get married February 24, 1979. David loved his wife Ginger immensely, from the highs to the lows, they had a love for each other that survived over 45 years. That love brought two children into this world, Jason White and Casey White. He loved his children with all his heart and might, he provided for us all the best he knew how, from working odd manual labor jobs to driving a mixer truck 12-14 hrs. a day. He loved tinkering in the garage and became a master craftsman with wood, from building plantation shutters, trim carpentry to arts/crafts to sell at shows, his mind and hands could craft anything out of wood.
David was the favorite uncle to several nieces and nephews, always the fun and laughter at family events. From joking around to playing Santa he always wanted to put a smile on your face. David would become a grandfather aka Papa starting in 2006. Papa loved his four grand kids. Papa would do anything for them, from buying wanted sports gear, help fund school trips to even driving 6 hours last minute to help support them in school events or just with logistics.
David White is survived by his wife, Ginger White; his daughter Casey White; his son and daughter in law Jason and Laura White; His grandchildren Joshua White, Alexander White, Tatum White and Gwyneth White; his brother and sister-in-law John and Lois White; his brother Bill White; his sister Stella Allbright Sims White; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Martha White; his nephew Mark White.
