On May 3, 2015, our kind & gentle-hearted David Henry Seeger moved past this earth & its struggles to walk in perfect peace, health & happiness with his Lord. David was born Oct. 4, 1932 in Mena, AR to Christian parents Henry V.M. & Nadine (Lindsey) Seeger. The eldest of 3 boys, he began his life in this world "unassuming" & continued this trend without fail. Following a brief entrepreneurship, at age 14, establishing his own soda stand at the corner of 29th & Agnew, and tabling his soap-box derby career as "The Snail," he set his sights on loftier educational goals. He was a 1951 graduate of Central HS, OKC. "Student by day, Mummer's Theatre actor by night." In 1952, he married Juanita Mae Gardner & the young couple moved to Wichita, KS where they both worked for Boeing. Much to his father's surprise & dismay, & although blind in one eye since birth, he managed to be drafted into the army serving honorably in Heidelberg, Germany. As a young man he worked a variety of jobs before becoming enamored with computer programming. He first worked for Tinker AFB & later as a professor at OSU-TI, having earned his master's degree from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. As a staunch alumni &employee, his vigor & support were unyielding. David was a remarkable man. His charm was his wit & dry sense of humor which never diminished even in adversity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded into glory by his parents & one child, Karl Michael. He is survived by his wife of the home; two brothers, John (Jo-Lynne), Bill (Dorene); 4 children, Steve Seeger & wife Barbara, K. Ann Morgan, Betty Seeger, Janice Sedghi & husband Kayvon; grandchildren, Eric, Heather, Brian, Megan, Jeff, Juli, great-grandchildren, Ella and Mia. Public viewing will be Friday, 8am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Hope Church, 3100 N. Meridian Ave.,Oklahoma City .
