David Keith Powell was born November 3, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. He passed from this life on earth to go to his heavenly home with his Lord on August 31, 2010. He is survived by his wife Dianna Marie Powell of the home, his mother and father-in-law Pearl and Audie Pack of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law Tony and wife Vickie Pack; nephew Kyle William Pack of Arlington, TX, brother Dennis and wife Sherry of Clinton, MI; one nephew Dennis Powell II of Clinton, MI; Stepmother Lucille Powell of Warren, MI; two stepsisters: Shirley and husband Randy DeGeer of Warren, MI and Barbara Warf of Myrtle Beach, SC and a host of other friends and relatives. Dave was preceded in death by his mother and father Betty Lee and Goodloe Powell. Dave enjoyed collecting trains and traveling. He also enjoyed eating out and attending movies and picnics with friends and family. Dave served four years in the United States Air force. He retired from Lucent Technologies with 26+ years of service. Those who knew Dave will remember how much he enjoyed planning and taking trips with Dianna and just having fun. Visitation will be 9am- 9pm Friday at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service with services on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 2:00pm at Mercer Adams with burial at Resurrection.
