Obituary

David Lee Pape, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, unexpectedly passed away during the early hours of Tuesday, July 3. Born in Norristown, PA, on November 17, 1950, Dave graduated from Northwest Classen High School and The University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. With a life-long love of theatre, he was involved in the design and production of countless plays, concerts, and events for Ballet Oklahoma, Lyric Theatre, and many others. Also an extremely talented craftsman and woodworker, he supervised hundreds of commercial millwork installations throughout the metro, earning the nicknames "Dave the Door Dude" and "Super Dave." He is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years, Vicki, his daughters Amanda and Emily, future son-in-law Geoff, his brother Don, sister-in-law Margaret, niece Anne and her husband Michael, canine companions "Ozzy" and "Wally", and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Marjorie Pape. A kind and generous man, Dave will be fondly remembered by his loved ones and those who remembered to put his tools back in the right place. A celebration of his life will be held beginning at 2pm on Sunday, July 8 at the Civic Center Music Hall. We welcome all those who wish to share their memories to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to Free to Live Animal Sanctuary, Rocky Spot Rescue, or the charity of your choice. Memorial Service Sunday, July 8, 2012 02:00 AM - 03:00 AM Civic Center Music Hall 201 N. Walker Avenue Oklahoma City, OK
