David Lynn Lechliter, 67, died at his home September 5, 2017. He was born May 10, 1950 in Garnett, KS to William and Laura (Crowder) Lechliter. He graduated Neodesha High School, KS, and SW Baptist University in Boliver, MO. After college, he met and married Nancy Magruder on December 11, 1976. He entered ministry as a youth director, then pastored Blue Stem Baptist Church from 1987-1993. From 1994-2017, he was a high school educator, teaching at Benton Co. AR Schools, S.W. Covenant schools, Yukon, OK, and Dibble High School. He loved Nebraska football, OSU wrestling, and directed plays, speech, debate and drama. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughters, Laura Orr and husband Brad, Melissa Wilson and husband Eric; son, Aaron Lechliter; grandson, Isaac Lechliter; 2 brothers, Gary Lechliter and wife Camille, John Lechliter and wife Anna; and many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing with family present will be Thursday, 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams, Bethany, OK. Services will be Friday, September 8, 10:00am at Canadian Valley Baptist Church, Yukon, OK, with interment in Yukon Cemetery.
