David Parker Holder was born July 21, 1945, in Tulsa, OK. David grew up in Sapulpa, OK with his brother, Bob and parents, Jay and Louise Holder. David attended Sapulpa Public Schools, graduating in 1963. David continued his education at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a bachelors and masters degree. While at OSU, David met the love of his life, Helen. They married in 1968 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Born to this union were two sons, Timothy David and Mark Andrew, who endured many moves during their growing up years. David and Helen started married life living in the Kansas City area while David was attending Midwestern Seminary. They returned to OSU while David completed his masters degree. The next move found them in South Carolina, India, Alabama, Arkansas, and back to where it all started, in Oklahoma. After returning to Oklahoma, David taught chemistry at the Oklahoma School of Science and Math, Life Christian Academy, Oklahoma Christian Schools, OSU OKC, and the University of Central Oklahoma. David was also a deacon at Council Road Baptist Church. Going on Mission Trips was a highlight of Davids service to the Lord, as well as being an ordained Southern Baptist Minister.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Susan, Mark and Amena; granddaughters, Rachel, Jill, Bella, and Mariska; brother and wife, Bob and Carolyn; brother-in-law and wife, Roy Anglin and Terri; aunts, Pat Bowles, Heather and Parker; nieces, Jennifer, Emily, Lacie and Katelyn.
