Obituary

David Lawrence Farnsworth, 66, passed away on September 18, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on September 9, 1960, to Karle and Donna Williams-Farnsworth in Altus, Oklahoma. Throughout his childhood he had the opportunity to travel and live all over the world with his parents and brothers while his father served in the United States Air Force. His family eventually moved back to Oklahoma where they have lived ever since.

David graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1979. He loved sports, especially baseball, which he played throughout his childhood and teenage years. He continued to enjoy sports as an adult, playing on his church's softball team, golfing throughout the state, and cheering on NASCAR.

David worked in the automotive and transportation industries throughout his life. Early in his career, he worked as a car salesman before transitioning to a service writer for Thermo King Refrigeration. For the past 20 years, David was employed with Freymiller Trucking, where he began as an over-the-road truck driver before becoming a Driver Manager and dispatcher. He was looking forward to retirement and enjoying more time doing the things he loved.

David enjoyed watching shows at home or taking the family to the movie theater to get the biggest bucket of popcorn they sold. He loved going camping and hunting with his dad, brothers, son-in-law and friends any time he could get away. Some of the greatest stories he told came from the hunting woods. Over the last few years, he took several beach and lake trips with his mother, brother, daughter, son-in law, and grandkids.

Above all, David just loved spending time with his family. He was the ultimate Dad and G-PA, never missing a chance to bring lunch to his grandsons, spending many Saturdays at the Pokemon shop, or working on his grandson's truck with him. He was an avid gun collector, and he shared that hobby with his son-in-law, Charlie.

David was a dedicated father to Tami. He spent his life ensuring she grew up knowing she was fiercely loved, completely supported, and capable of anything. They shared the best memories together from navigating teenage years to being her biggest cheerleader no matter what the challenge was. They were the perfect father-daughter duo, laughing and joking the entire way.

David was preceded in death by his father, Karle Farnsworth; twin brother, Dean Farnsworth, Sr.; brother, Walter Farnsworth; and nephew, Kyle Farnsworth.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Farnsworth; daughter, Tami Bradley and son-in-law, Charlie; grandsons, Kendal and Riley; nephew, Dean Farnsworth, Jr.; nieces, Lauren West and Heather Lamont; and many other family members, including aunts, uncles and cousins. David will be deeply missed but his memory will live on through those who cherished him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 3 at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
