David Harold Crain, oldest son of Harold and Joan Renfro Crain, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at his home in Edmond. Born January 6, 1949, in San Diego California, David lived in Gulfport, MS, Ankara, Turkey and Washington, D.C. before moving to Oklahoma in 1964. David graduated from Putnam City High School in 1966 and Central State College in Edmond in 1970. While attending Central State, David joined the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, a brotherhood which he cherished and supported throughout his life. David began his career in banking before accepting an administrative position at his church. At the time of his death, David worked for the publisher of several newspapers in Northwest Oklahoma. David is survived by his brothers and sister, Danny and Carol of Plano, Texas, Russell and D'Ann of Oklahoma City, Susie of Oklahoma City, and Brian and Lori of Tulsa; his nieces and nephew, Ashley, Colin, Claire, Stephen, Sarah, Callie, Catherine and Christian; his great niece and nephews, Jonathan, Caroline and Caleb; as well as the countless host of TKE members he was proud to call his brothers. Viewing will be Friday, September 6, 2-9pm with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK. Services will be Saturday, September 7, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
