David Jay Bonar, 56, died July 7, 2019. He was born December 5, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Janice (Bovard) Bonar. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School in KCMO. He was a taxi driver in OKC for many years and met his future wife, Dee, on a ride. They married July 11, 2004. Most recently David worked as a nurses aide. He was a loving father and husband. David enjoyed eating ice cream at Baskin Robbins with his daughter, Mary. He loved traveling with his family to Las Vegas, San Antonio, Gulf Shores and Galveston. He was very funny and talkative and will be sorely missed. Survivors include his wife, Dee; daughter, Mary; sons, Michael and Steven Strutton, Chris and Jason Bonar; grandchildren, Jayden Morarity, Addalin and Wyatt McNeal; and brother, Tom Bonar. He was like a father figure to Marys best friends, Trinity Guinn and Tapaingia Smart. Services will be Friday, July 12, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
