Darlene Sue Romine, 73, died January 2, 2012. She was born August 12, 1938 in Stillwater, OK to James and Imogene (Taylor) McFarland. She graduated from Central High School in 1956. She worked for many years as office manager for Temple-Inland and The Big Tin Barn, both in Texas. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by son, Steven Mellies; grandchildren, Neil and Stephanie; sister, Shirley Pierce of Bethany; niece, Sherri Nolan and family of Enid; nephews, Lee Pierce and family of Bethany, Alan Pierce of Bethany; and uncle, Kenneth Taylor of Indiana. The family wishes to thank Deaconess Home Health and Darlenes neighbors for their loving care and attention. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 7, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
