DANNY MACK PLATT OBITUARY
December 17, 1943 July 8, 2018
Danny Mack Platt, a resident of Mustang, Oklahoma went suddenly to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the age of 74 years. He was born on December 17, 1943 at the Valley View Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma to Rufus and Bea Platt.
He is survived by one brother, Benny Alan Platt and his wife Juanita Platt of Oklahoma City, their children, Lori Platt of Garland, TX, Jeff and Robyn Delozier of Rowlett, TX, Phil and Anita Smith of Yukon, OK, and Melony Coen of Edmond, OK; his ex-wife, Joyce Hamilton of Colorado; as well as many close friends.
Dan graduated Ada High School in 1967. During high school, he delivered papers and worked as a type setter at the Ada Evening News. After graduation, he joined the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He completed boot camp in San Antonio, TX, and schooling in Biloxi, MS. He was a member of the Air Guard part-time and full-time for about 40 years. As a member of the Air Guard, he was a Load Master on the C-130 cargo aircraft. As a Senior Master Sargent, he received many Military awards. He also served in Desert Storm and flew to almost two-thirds of the worlds countries. On July 1, 1992, he was transferred to the Retired Reserve of the United States Airforce.
A Graveside Service in memory of Dan will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7500 W. Britton Rd. in Oklahoma City. Pastor Ken Isom officiating.
