Danny Ray Colvin, Sr., 92, passed away on December 9, 2021, in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was born December 8, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Cecil L. and Bertha (Self) Colvin. He was a proud Army veteran of the Korean War, 1951-1956. He married Marie Marcott, and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage before her death in 2018. Danny retired from Coca-Cola and Toms Vending. Danny loved his family, was a hard worker, and had incredible ingenuity. He and his wife took care of family and friends unconditionally. Danny loved western movies, country music, and playing the guitar, banjo, or any stringed instrument. He enjoyed square dancing with the Oklahoma City Maverick Square Dance Club. His favorite meal was beans and cornbread. Danny enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. One of their favorite memories was the Toms vending truck he drove being so full of candy and snacks and they got to pick out their treats after school. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie; and siblings, Donald Colvin, Dorothy Brown, and Jimmy Colvin. Survivors include his son, Danny Ray Colvin, Jr. and wife Kim; grandsons, Adam Colvin, Cory Caldwell and wife Liz; granddaughter, Sheena Edge and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Jace, Jaden, Jacob, Rylie, Kris, Trey, Brooklyn and Bailee; sister, Carol Hart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
