Obituary

Daniel "Dan" Elijah Brown Dan was born to Daniel Elijah and Marjorie Lela Jane (Bates) Brown on March 15, 1956 in El Reno, OK. He was the youngest of four children. He graduated from Mira Loma High School in 1974 and American River College with an Associates Degree in Computer Science in 1976. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking at Southern Nazarene University in 2015. He married Jeannette Sue on September 3, 1976 and had two children. He was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Marilyn and Carolyn and his parents. He is survived by his two children, Daniel Elijah (Nancy) Brown III and Beverly Gayle (Treavor) Rosenberg, his two granddaughters, Leah Marie and Cora Noelle Brown, and a sister, Leona Grace (Roger) Hall. He is a proud uncle to Teresa Jane (Greg) Blakey, Jenifer Ann (Shane) Hunt, and Heather Kay (Daniel) Griffith and is a proud great uncle to seven great nieces and nephews. Dan was 64 when he went home to meet his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2020 in Oklahoma City. His service will be on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 in the afternoon. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. He was known for his generous spirit. He volunteered extensively at his home church, Bethany First Church of the Nazarene in the sound department as well as driving the church bus to ensure all who wanted to attend church could. He took great pride in driving a bus for Putnam City Public Schools and making sure all the children in his care arrived safely at school and back home. He was known for his booming voice and caring spirit. He loved to talk about his love for OU football, computers, sound amplification, technology, aviation, and his pride in his children, grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
